Activities

Council on Aging’s Senior Social Clubs offer isolated seniors an opportunity to gather for meals, exercise, entertainment, and–most important of all–companionship. They also provide a needed respite for caregivers.

Our Senior Social Clubs have helped many Sonoma County seniors stay healthy, happy, and involved. Some of the activities offered include:

Gentle Exercise

  • Community garden
  • Gentle exercise
  • Entertainment
  • Arts and crafts
  • Visits from school children
  • Meals
  • Guest speakers
  • Field trips
  • Lively discussions of current events, feelings, and other topics.

Council on Aging has helped hundreds of seniors re-connect with others. Senior Social Clubs day program sites are NOW at five convenient sites in Sonoma County, and all sites currently have openings!

Oakmont Senior Social Club at Oakmont West Recreation Center, 6470 Meadowridge Dr., Santa Rosa
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Santa Rosa Senior Social Club at Church of the Roses, 2500 Patio Ct., Santa Rosa
Monday,  Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Sonoma Senior Social Club at Vintage House, 264 First St. E., Sonoma
Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Healdsburg Senior Social Club atSt. Paul’s Church, 209 Matheson St., Healdsburg
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Sebastopol Senior Social Club at Sebastopol Senior Center, 167 No. High St, Sebastopol
Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.
