|I must admit that I was reluctant to come to Senior Social Clubs. What I didn’t know was that there’s always something to do: musicians, knowledgeable speakers, art projects, and lively discussions. I would recommend Senior Social Clubs to anyone wanting to broaden their horizons.”
~ James Cetta
Council on Aging’s Senior Social Clubs offer isolated seniors an opportunity to gather for meals, exercise, entertainment, and–most important of all–companionship. They also provide a needed respite for caregivers.
Our Senior Social Clubs have helped many Sonoma County seniors stay health, happy, and involved. Some of the activities offered include:
• community garden
• gentle excercise
• arts and crafts
• visits from school children
• guest speakers
• field trips
• lively discussions of current events, feelings, and other topics.
